Terms & Conditions
The terms on which TidyHut Cleaning Services quotes for and carries out cleaning work in Accra.
Who you are dealing with
TidyHut Cleaning Services is a cleaning business operating in Accra, Ghana. You can write to us at P.O. Box CT 5311, Cantonments, Accra. Our phone number, WhatsApp number and email address are published on this website, and those are the channels through which we accept bookings.
These terms apply to cleaning work we agree to carry out for you. Ghanaian law governs them, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute.
What we do
We provide residential and commercial cleaning: regular home care, deep cleaning, move-in and move-out cleans, post-construction and renovation cleanup, office and workplace cleaning, and upholstery and fabric care. The services pages describe what each one covers.
How we quote
We do not publish fixed prices, because no two jobs are alike. What a clean costs depends on the size of the space, its condition, how much work it needs and how often we come.
So the price is agreed before we start, never after. The sequence is always the same:
- You tell us where the space is, roughly how big it is, and what you would like cleaned. Photographs help.
- We discuss the scope with you, and visit to assess it where the job needs that.
- We give you a price for that agreed scope, and tell you what it includes.
- Work begins only once you have accepted that price.
If we find something on the day that materially changes the job, we stop and talk to you before doing the extra work. You will never receive a bill for work you did not agree to.
Booking and access
A booking is confirmed when we have agreed the scope, the price and a date with you. Please make sure we can actually get in and work: that means access to the space at the agreed time, and running water and electricity.
If you arrange for us to collect a key or be let in by someone else, tell us in advance. If we arrive and cannot get in, we may have to treat it as a cancellation at short notice.
When the work happens
We carry out the work on the date we agreed with you. Where no date has been set, we will begin within fourteen days of your booking unless we have agreed something else with you.
If we cannot do the work — because of illness, weather, or anything else — we will tell you as soon as we know, and offer you the earliest alternative date. If you have paid and we cannot carry out the work at all, we refund you within seven days of telling you.
Cancelling, and your seven-day right
Under section 49 of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772), where you book a service through an electronic channel you may cancel within seven days of the agreement being concluded, without giving a reason and without penalty. We honour that right.
Separately from that legal right, you are welcome to cancel or move a booking at any time. Please give us as much notice as you can so that we can offer the slot to someone else. If our team has already travelled to you or begun work, we may ask you to cover the cost of what has actually been done.
Refunds
Where a refund is due, we pay it within seven days by the same route you paid us, unless you ask for something different.
- You cancel within the seven-day period described above — you are refunded in full.
- We are unable to carry out work you have paid for — you are refunded in full.
- You paid for work that was not done — you are refunded for the part not done.
If you are not happy with the clean
Tell us. Please do it within forty-eight hours of the visit, while we can still see what you are describing, and send photographs if you can.
We will look into it with you and agree how to put it right. That may mean returning to redo the part you are unhappy with, or adjusting what you pay. We would far rather hear from you than have you say nothing.
Valuables and fragile things
Before we arrive, please put away cash, jewellery, documents and anything irreplaceable or highly fragile. Tell us about anything in the space that needs particular care — a delicate surface, an antique, an appliance that behaves oddly — and we will work around it.
We cannot take responsibility for damage to items we were not told about and could not reasonably have known were fragile or valuable.
If something is damaged
Our team is careful, but accidents happen. If something is damaged while we are working, tell us within forty-eight hours of the visit so we can look into it while the facts are fresh.
We will investigate honestly, tell you what we find, and agree a fair remedy with you — repair, replacement or a reduction in what you pay, depending on what happened.
We are responsible for damage our team actually causes. We are not responsible for wear that was already there, for faults in the item itself, or for loss that does not follow from our work.
What we ask of you
Cleaning works best when we are not working around obstacles. Please:
- Give us access to the space at the agreed time
- Make sure water and electricity are available
- Secure pets, or tell us about them before we arrive
- Tell us about anything unsafe in the space
- Treat our team with courtesy, as they will treat you
We may stop work and leave if the space is unsafe for our team. If that happens we will explain why, and charge only for work already done.
Photographs of your space
We sometimes photograph our work. We will not publish a photograph of your home or workplace anywhere without asking you first, and you are free to say no. Saying no changes nothing about the service you receive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your job are the ones published when you booked it. The date at the top tells you when this page last changed.
