How TidyHut Cleaning Services handles your personal information, and the rights you have over it under Ghanaian law.
What this website collects
Nothing. This website has no contact form, no sign-up, no account and no shopping basket. There is nowhere on it for you to type anything.
It also sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no tracking pixels or social media widgets. We do not know who visits, how often, or which pages you read.
Every button that says “Book on WhatsApp”, “Call us” or shows an email address is an ordinary link. It opens your own app. Nothing is sent to us until you choose to send it.
Our host
The site is a set of static files served by Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel records standard technical request information such as IP addresses and browser type, in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not use that information to identify individuals and we do not build profiles from it.
Vercel’s servers are located outside Ghana, so serving you this page involves a transfer of that technical information abroad.
What we collect when you get in touch
When you message, call or email us, you give us information directly. Depending on the conversation, that usually includes:
- Your name and the phone number or email address you contact us from
- The address or area of the space you would like cleaned
- What needs cleaning, its size and condition, and any photographs you choose to send
- The day and time that suits you
- Any access arrangements you tell us about, such as where to collect a key
We ask for what we need to quote accurately and arrive prepared, and nothing beyond that. You are never required to tell us anything you would rather not.
A note about WhatsApp
Most of our bookings begin on WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and not by us. When you message us there, your message travels through Meta’s service under Meta’s own privacy terms, not ours. We have no control over that and cannot change it.
Once your message reaches us, this policy applies to how we handle it. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, call or email us instead — it makes no difference to the service you receive.
Why we hold your information
We use what you give us to prepare your quote, agree the work, reach you about the visit, carry out the cleaning, and keep the records a business is required to keep. We do not use it for anything else.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Marketing messages
We do not send unsolicited promotional messages. If we ever want to send you an offer, we will ask you first, and you will be able to stop them at any time by telling us so.
Photographs of our work
We photograph and film our work so we can show the standard we hold ourselves to. Where a photograph shows a customer’s home or workplace, we publish it only with that customer’s permission.
If a photograph of your space appears anywhere on this site or on our social media and you would like it taken down, tell us and we will remove it. You do not need to give a reason.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to twenty-four months after our last contact with you, so that we can pick up where we left off if you come back to us. We keep records of completed jobs for as long as tax and accounting rules require us to, and then no longer.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See your rights below.
Your rights under Ghanaian law
The Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) gives you rights over the personal information we hold about you. You may:
- Ask us to confirm whether we hold information about you, and to describe it
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong, out of date, incomplete or misleading
- Ask us to delete information that we should no longer be holding
- Object to us processing your information, and ask us to stop
Ask us by message, by phone, by email to complaints@tidyhut.org, or by post to P.O. Box CT 5311, Cantonments, Accra. We will respond within twenty-one days, and there is no charge for asking.
If you are not satisfied
If you think we have mishandled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right — email complaints@tidyhut.org. You also have the right to complain directly to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission, which supervises how organisations handle personal data.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add a booking form, analytics, or anything else that collects information, we will update this page at the same time — not afterwards. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
